As we all know, 1967 hemi Charger are impossible to find and sell for their weight in gold when they appear. Not long after buying the 1666 Hemi charger, we came upon this 1967 tribute car. Originally a 383 (as per VIN). It comes with a background story of a man who set out to build this car and was stricken by illness. A family member finished to that the man could ride in it once. Therefore, everything on this car is fresh – paint (not show car but very nice) engine, interior etc…. We sorted the shifter and put the correct hemi air filter and breathers on it. Note that this car does not have a fender tag – but we understand that this is its original color combination.
Engine is a crate hemi that was rebuilt and has no miles on it. There’s also a 3-inch exhaust system with headers. The four-speed manual transmission channels the Hemi’s torque to a 8.75 differential with 3.91 gears. The exterior trim and chrome are in good condition. There are no cracks or chips in the windshield and no issues with the door and trunk seals. Please note that there are no deal handles on this Charger and the doors open at the push of a button. The headlights rotating healights are not functional but all the gauges work.
Inside, this Charger’s red vinyl cabin is new and it has the 67 dual console with the bucket seats. There two switches in the console that serve no known purpose. The seat covers, carpet, and headliner are in excellent condition The same goes for the door panels and dash pad.
The chassis, suspension, and brake elements all work fine and the car is equipped with assisted brakes and steering. There are no drivability issues and no vibrations, according and the car rolls on BFGoodrich Radial tires mounted on American Racing slotted mags. The tires are new, and wheels show some wear.
