Project

1969 Plymouth Barracuda 440 – M Code

True 1969 Barracuda 440 and on top of it a notchback. Production numbers for the notchback are hard to track down but in total 340 M Code 440 Barracuda were produced. This one was owned for over 40 years by a gentleman in the US. We have a stack of papers that came with the car. This gentleman turned the Barracuda into a 12 second car with a built 440 and nitrous (although he did say he did not use it because he could not get enough tire on the car). We had the car polished, so pictures here are after polishing.

Initial Plans:

  • go back to original air filter
  • go back to original hood
  • change door panels
  • add passenger mirror
  • paint engine
  • change valve covers
  • put new tires and trim rings on the rallye wheels
  • change exhaust system for TTI with tips (headers are already TTI – and will be powder coated)
  • correct radiator is already ordered from Glen-Ray
  • fix or change steering wheel.
  • Clean undercarriage.
